PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 

As a scholar practitioner, it is critical that I remain current in terms of our profession. I have had the opportunity to learn in a variety of formats over the past four years. These opportunities have deepened my knowledge and skills and have led to greater student success. 

​

By attending state and national conferences, I have been able to learn and network with other colleagues.  I have been able to share my work in school finance and most recently share the updated Texas school finance text with fellow professors. 

​

At the local level, I have attended ACUE trainings which include the year long course in effective online teaching practices and most recently a course in fostering a culture of belonging in the online classroom. I have also participated in the CPED (Carnegie Project on Educational Doctorate) convenings and monthly webinars.
